Studying St Lucia in a London school with costume designer Nadella Benjamin led to costumes and banners representing the economy of tourism and main food crops eg banana, pineapple, coconut, fish.

Barnaby Bear goes to Trinidad. Trinidad school carnival. As part of studying distant environments, children who are travelling to other countries take Barnaby Bear with them and take his photograph. This leads to discussion and comparison of people's lives and activities in distant environments.
